Galatea is pleased to announce the participation in SP–Arte 2024, taking place at the Bienal Pavilion from April 3 to April 7, 2024. At our booth, we will present work by artists that reflect our artistic program, featuring both key figures in Brazilian modern and contemporary art and artists who have created outside the canon.
The selected works are organized into two themes: abstractions (ranging from geometric roots to more lyrical and abstract tendencies, including abstractions derived from conceptual processes) and fantastical figurations.
The first section revolves around works by Abraham Palatnik, Adriana Varejão, Aislan Pankararu, Allan Weber, Ana Raylander, Arnaldo Ferrari, Carolina Cordeiro, Dionísio del Santo, Franz Weissmann, Georgete Melhem, Hélio Oiticica, Ione Saldanha, Ivan Serpa, Jandyra Waters, Joaquim Tenreiro, Judith Lauand, Julio Plaza, Katie van Scherpenberg, Lygia Clark, Lygia Pape, Maria Leontina, Maria Polo, Mira Schendel, Paulo Roberto Leal, Rubem Valetim, Sergio Camargo, Tunga, Ubi Bava e Waltercio Caldas.
The second core, in turn, is anchored in the iconic sculpture O guerreiro (1940s) by Maria Martins, accompanied by representations of Brazilian nature and landscape by Bruno Novelli, Chico da Silva, Daniel Lannes, Frans Krajcberg, José Leonilson, Marilia Kranz and Wilma Martins.
