Art Basel Miami Beach: Miami Beach Convention Center | Miami – EUA

Overview
F26
Galatea and Isla Flotante are happy to participate in a joint presentation at Art Basel Miami Beach 2025. Presented at booth F26 in the Galleries sector, the project is conceived as a space of dialogue between different generations of Latin American art.

The presentation unfolds a series of transversal affinities between modern and contemporary practices from both galleries: the constructive legacies of Lygia Clark and Abraham Palatnik reverberate in the material operations of Mariela Scafati, Pablo Accinelli, Valentín Demarco and Allan Weber; the textual and perceptual sensibilities of Mira Schendel resonate in the pictorial and spiritual explorations of Rosario Zorraquín; and the visionary figuration of Chico da Silva, Heitor dos Prazeres and Jaider Esbell expands the terrain of narrative and cosmology. Together, these works propose a South–South constellation that imagines new ways of thinking about modernity, body, memory and community.

The booth represents the encounter between two young Latin American galleries, both committed to programs grounded in experimentation and dialogue. Isla Flotante and Galatea propose a vision of art as a network of multiple affinities, extending beyond national or generational boundaries.
